Masters

  1. The masters division consists of a Chairman: Fahmi Ariefdien, deputy Chairman: Frederick Christians and Marketing and Sponsorship: Bradley Dore.
  2. The masters division is a sub-division of the Cape Town Tennis exco. This structure is responsible for hosting masters tournaments within the Cape Town district for players 30+ to 80+. These tournament forms part of the Tennis SA Masters Tournament Calendar. 
  3. Players wanting to participate in these tournaments, needs to be affiliated to a tennis club affiliated to Cape Town Tennis, have registered with Cape Town tennis masters as well as registered as a tournament player with Tennis SA.
  1. What’s currently happening within the masters space
    1. Thus far this year, Cape Town tennis hosted successful masters tournaments (January - Cape Town Masters & March – TSA ITF Masters Nationals)
    2. Upcoming Interprovincial tournaments (23 to 28 July to be played in Pretoria for age group 30+ to 50+) and (2 to 6 October to be played in Winelands for age group 60+ to 80+)
    3. Upcoming Masters Tournament in November (7 to 10 Nov), hosted by Cape Town Tennis
    4. Annual renewal of Cape Town Masters fee of R150 per player
