COACH PORTFOLIO

I grew up in Durban and started my coaching career in 2008 at my local tennis club. I moved to Cape Town in 2017 to pursue a coaching opportunity.

I have an Advanced Instructor qualification from Tennis SA and I am currently coaching at Claremont Tennis Club.

I fell in love with coaching tennis from the first day I started when I was coaching new players and saw how they started to love this game as much as I do. Seeing players enjoy competition and mature both on and off the court is such a privilege to me.

I am currently the Chairman of the CT coaches committee since 2023. 
Our current committee is working on getting coaches unified and registered with TSA. 
We are focused on organising coaches courses with TSA to upskill new and existing coaches in our district.

The current status of the coaches portfolio is as follows:
We are focused on getting all coaches registered with TSA this year. 
We officially have only 35 coaches on the published list, and another 50 have registered but have yet to finalise their registration with TSA with missing CPD points or documentation. 

This has been the most registrations by coaches in a few years but many coaches have not yet registered yet.
